Artistically, I am getting ready to get into a creative groove… When I create my own stuff for no purpose other than to just exist it is both incredibly freeing and terrifying. There is a voice in my head that tells me my time is better spent elsewhere, like on laundry 😝I love making things. Truly. I have to work on giving myself permission to make something that no one has asked for.

Winter is no joke. January and February have always been hard on my mental health so I’ve have been really intentional about self care this season. But These two wild ones have been so…. extra lately…feeling all of the big feelings and learning things the hard way. Being a mom is HAAAARD no matter how much we love their little faces. Did you know that this is my 12th year of teaching? I was an elementary Ed major, then my first job was teaching sped k-12 😳 which was trial by fire, let me tell you. But I did that for 7 years, which is still very dear to my heart. But the last 5 years I have taught art, which I love love love. I love my students and the purpose it brings to my life. No matter where this arting thing takes me, I want to always be teaching. It is my way of using my life to love hard. What’s your way?

Something I learned when traveling and living abroad is to have 1,000 zipper pouches for all the things. -1 pouch for chargers -1 pouch for things I will need in the plane ✈️ -1 pouch for journal pens 🖊 -1 pouch for the GOOD pens And don’t even get me started on the pouches I need if my kids are with me…😳 the only rule I have about the pouch is… it👏must👏be👏cute👏. No ziplocks for me and my earplugs… snag one or a dozen on my site 😘😘😘
